instant, pre-written speeches
Speech by
Bride
Thank you all for being here
today to celebrate with (Groom’s name)
and me. I can’t believe that this day has finally arrived. For as long
as I can remember, I have dreamed of being a Bride – some found my fantasies
cliché, and admittedly, I lost myself in fairy tale images of puffy white gowns
and three tiered cakes. But I can now say, with complete honesty, that this day
has far exceeded my wildest expectations.
(Groom’s name)
has made my dream come true, ten times over, and I embrace today’s
celebration as a wonderful glimpse of the many dreams that we will no doubt
experience together as a married couple.
Speech by Valedictorian
Good (morning,
afternoon, evening) to the graduating class, our families, our friends,
and the faculty and staff of (insert school
name). As the valedictorian, on
behalf of the graduation class of (insert
year), I would like to thank everyone who is here tonight for their love
and support throughout our high school experience. We finally did it. The stress
of late night studying, endless exams, university applications is now behind
us. As we sit here, thousands of memories run through our minds, and we
nostalgically reflect on our many wonderful experiences over the past four
years.
Speech by Father of the Bar
Mitzvah
Good
(evening, morning, afternoon). This
important occasion warrants a few words
from the father of the
Bar Mitzvah, so I thank you in advance
for your patient indulgence.
(Name of Bar
Mitzvah) was a
very (insert adjectives as appropriate – e.g.
– smart, funny, precocious, outgoing) child. We have enjoyed
him very much, and
he has enriched our lives
immeasurably. There are countless sweet stories and anecdotes that offer a
glimpse into the special qualities of our son,
but in the interest of brevity, I will offer up just a few.
